BRAIN AND NERVE SURGERY

Neurosurgery is a highly specialized branch of medicine that deals with the surgical treatment of brain and nervous system problems. This system includes the central nervous system (brain, cerebellum, spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system (spinal cord and nerves exiting the brain). Brain, Spinal Cord and Nerve Surgery is developing rapidly thanks to innovations in medical technology, and in parallel, very successful results can be obtained in diagnosis and treatment.

Neurosurgeons are physicians who provide the operative and non-operative management of neurological diseases (ie, prevention, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, critical care, and rehabilitation).

Examinations such as cranial tomography or magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, echocardiography, extracranial doppler are applied to our patients, and the results contribute to the follow-up and treatment of our patients.
Follow-up and treatment of patients are continued in the intensive care unit in serious conditions that endanger the patient’s life, such as coma, progressive stroke, and frequently recurring seizures.
